Objectives of Project

- To document the significance of the building to accompany the measured drawings
- To enable students to analyze the relationship between architecture and the significance of the building as well as its inhabitation

Project 3 - Measured Drawings & Model

Objectives of Project

 

Aims to produce a set of measure drawings of a historical and/or architecturally significant building or structure in a specific location. A report containing important and historical information of the building will complement the drawings. It is an on-site exercise where students are required to execute fieldwork and hands-on measuring exercise

- Able to use appropriate method or architectural historic documentation
- Able to recognize and recall techniques of measured drawing and documentation
- Able to explain the as-built building constructions, architectural details and elements
- Able to interpret historic architectural element, structure and building
- Able to execute fieldwork and hands-on measurement exercise
- Able to translate measure data into scaled drawings
- Able to produce a report on the building highlighting its importance and historical significance

- Improving in software such as Autocad, Rhinoceros, Photoshop.
